Frequently Asked questions (FAQs)

SERVICE OVERVIEW & SCOPE

Home care agencies provide assistance with medical conditions and activities of daily living. Detailed service information can be found on the Customized Care page.

Home care offers individualized, one-on-one care within the client’s residence, as opposed to assisted living or nursing homes where care is shared among multiple residents.

Home care services are available to individuals of all ages requiring care.

Initiating Home Care Services

Clients are encouraged to contact the agency directly to initiate the home care
process.

All care plans are tailored to meet specific client needs after an initial 8-hour service period.

Services may commence as rapidly as two hours following the initial inquiry, contingent upon circumstances.

A physician’s referral is not a prerequisite for receiving home care services.

Caregivers possess significant experience in caregiving, with some holding certifications
such as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA). All caregivers undergo background checks and CPR certification. It is common for caregivers to have nursing
backgrounds from their countries of origin.

Meetings between clients and caregivers can be arranged prior to the commencement of
services.

The agency endeavors to match clients with suitable caregivers. If a client expresses dissatisfaction with a caregiver, alternative arrangements will be made.

Financial Considerations

The cost of home care services is primarily determined by the level of care required. Detailed
cost information can be obtained by contacting the care team.

Currently, only private pay options are available. Inquiries regarding long-term care policies and coverage should be directed to the care team.

Standard health insurance policies (HMO,PPO,IPA,Medicare/Medi-Cal) do not typically cover
home care services.

Initial assessments are provided at no cost.

Operational Logistics & Communication

Home care services are available in various schedules, including day shifts, night shifts, 24/7 care, and hourly care (with an 8-hour minimum per shift).

The agency collaborates with the designated contact person during the initial phase to establish a care plan. Ongoing communication and support are provided as needed via calls, emails or text.

Requests for modifications to the care plan are accommodated as required. Health conditions improve and decline so the plan of care can be adjusted accordingly.

A phone call is sufficient to make changes to scheduled visits. A 10-day notice is required for service cancellation.

Client Safety & Security

The care team maintains close supervision of caregivers to address any issues promptly and ensure client safety. We carefully match our caregivers expertise to the patients needs.
