Absolute Services


  • Personal Care - Help with bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, skin care, toileting, and incontinence care.
  • Meal Assistance - Meal planning and preparation, monitor diet and eating habits, monitor fluid intake, feeding, and medication reminders.
  • Light Housekeeping - Clean up kitchen, vacuum, dust, mop, clean clients bathroom, personal laundry, linen changes, make bed, empty and take out trash, pick-up mail, and assistance with pets.
  • Exercise, Social Activities, and Transportation - Ambulation, walk indoors, walk outdoors, running errands, shopping, transportation to religious services, transfer, supervision, schedule reminders and escort to appointments.

Veterans Benefits

Are you a veteran or surviving spouse? The Veterans Administration has established a pension program and home care services may be paid for.

If you are a veteran, who has served at least 90 days or more on active duty, with at least one day of service during a period of war, or the surviving spouse of such a veteran, and you are in need of assistance at home due to your disabilities, you may be eligible for the Veterans Administration non-service connected disability program.

Long-Term Care Insurance

Each policy for Short Term Care, Long Term Care and Nursing Home coverage is unique and individualized.  As a courtesy we will verify and explain the policy details and all benefits to avail of your home care coverage such as:

  • Daily, Weekly or Monthly Benefits for home care services
  • Explain Restoration of Benefits and Inflation Riders
  • Keep a calendar for Waiver of Premiums if applicable
  • Calculate elimination periods if applicable, explain if it's per episode
  • Confirm the premium cycle per policy
  • Keep track of Certification Periods for care
  • Initiate home care service via phone depending on the carrier

Next a RN will come for an evaluation for care/approval. We will always be there to support our clients and answer questions.

Rest assured our team will prepare all Long Term Care Claim forms.  An individualized plan of care is created. We personally visit your physician to have the claim forms completed per the Long Term Care Insurance, daily care notes, submit medical power of attorney, detailed monthly billing, our required provider information and change in the plan of care are always sent on your behalf.

Worker's Compensation Insurance

We will work directly with your Attorney and Claims Adjuster for an authorization for home care services.  We will coordinate the following on your behalf:
  • Face to face assessment
  • Ensure the medical necessity for care
  • Create a personalized plan of care
  • Track vendor authorizations for your care
Once approved as a courtesy, we will directly bill the workers compensation insurance or third party administrator.

What We Do Not Cover


Medicare

Medicare does not cover the following services:
  • Home Care Services
  • Homemakers Services
  • 24 Hour a day care at home
  • Personal Care
Your physician will need to certify with a prescription that you need one or more of the following:
  1. Intermittent Skilled Care
  2. Physical Therapy, Speech-language Therapy and Occupational Therapy covered only when the services are specific to the treatment for your condition. The amount and frequency including time period need to be reasonable and performed by a licensed therapist in a safe and effective manner.
  3. The Home Healthy Agency must be Medicare Certified.
  4. You must be home bound, your physician must also certify that you are home bound.
  5. You are not eligible for Home Health benefits if you need more than part time or intermittent skilled nursing care.
  6. Home Health Services include Medical Social Services, Home Health Aides, Medical Supplies, Durable Medical Equipment used at home, injectable and osteoporosis drugs.

Medical

Medical is through the State of California only. For individuals with low income, asset levels, or personal resources are reduced because of health care or medical expenses.

In Home Support Services (IHSS) provide services to those over 65, Disabled, Blind, who want to remain living at home. IHSS is through your county but not all counties offer IHSS services.

PPO's

PPO plans differ in benefits and cost but generally cover the following:
  • In-patient Hospital Care
  • Out-patient Medical Care
  • No referrals needed for Primary Care or Specialist
  • Mental Health
  • Substance use
  • Medication

HMO's

HMO plans differ in benefits and cost but generally cover the following:
  • In-patient / Out-patient Medical Care
  • Medication
Primary care physicians must initiate a referral for additional care and require an approval:
  • Mental Health
  • Substance Abuse
  • Specialist​
